Climate Change and Smart Hydroponics
Hydroponics has emerged as one of major alternate food production systems in the times of climate change. Risks associated with farming and food production has increased many folds with the rise in global temperatures and vagaries of weather. Since hydroponics is based on food production with the help of nutrient solutions under controlled conditions without soil, role of external climate risks is ruled out. Furthermore, a new dimension has been added to Hydroponics with the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) which is now generally referred to as “Smart Hydroponics”. Thus, AI has revolutionized the precision and efficiency of hydroponic food production systems.
