Monitoring Hydroponic Fertigation
Nutrient solution which supplies essential nutrients to plants is the soul of hydroponic system. Hydroponic feed formulas for different crops have been worked out. One can use a suitable software for right feeding of the hydroponic crop at different stages. Although it is well known that EC and pH of nutrient solution is required to be monitored constantly in the hydroponic system, yet EC is only an indicator of the concentration of the solution, it does not tell the proportion of various mineral nutrients in the solution. A “Portable Single Ion Meter” can be used to know the concentration of any given nutrient in the solution.
